I made a writing about Earth Hour last year, how another big city also participated this beloved Hour by turning their electricity off. Even Las Vegas!

Miris rasanya melihat berita di koran atau televisi yang menyampaikan bahwa di negara kita masih ada masyarakat yang memasung keluarga mereka yang “gila”. 

Gila atau istilah medisnya disebut Skizoprenia adalah suatu gangguan jiwa berat yang bisa diobati. Akan tetapi masyarakat kita masih memiliki persepsi yang tradisional mengenai gangguan jiwa ini sehingga tidak membawanya segera ke rumah sakit tetapi malah memasungnya. Bahkan ada yang dipasung berpuluh tahun seperti kakak beradik yang berada di Simalungun.

Lecture tadi pagi yang disampaikan oleh dokter ganteng nan tinggi ex pemain Satria Muda Britama, dr. Cokorda Bagus Jaya Lesmana, Sp.KJ lah yang membuat saya ingin menulis tulisan ringan mengenai Skizoprenia ini dan sekedar memberikan info bahwa gangguan jiwa berat ini tentunya memerlukan penanganann yang tepat dan cepat agar tidak membuat kondisi pasien lebih buruk lagi.

Mungkin ada yang pernah mendengar kalimat ini : “Orang yang sangat kreatif dipisahkan oleh garis tipis dengan orang gila”. Ya itu benar. Jika diandaikan, orang yang kreatif terletak di sisi kurva positif sedangkan “madness” atau kegilaan terletak di kurva negatif. Begitulah sederhananya.

Orang dengan skizoprenia sepenuhnya sadar akan tetapi ia tidak bisa mengontrol emosi, pikiran, dan tingkah lakunya. Penyebabnya bisa bermacam, yang paling banyak penelitiannya adalah faktor genetik. Akan tetapi faktor genetik ini memiliki keunikan yang tidak sesuai dengan Hukum Mendel.

Seseorang yang memiliki saudara kembar gila memiliki resiko 47% terkena skizoprenia, jauh lebih tinggi dibandingkan jika memiliki salah satu orang tua yang gila yakni 12-15%.

Selain itu, faktor lingkungan pun juga ikut andil dalam etiologi gangguan jiwa berat ini. Bayi lahir saat musim dingin memiliki risiko yang lebih tinggi terkena penyakit skizoprenia dibandingkan bayi lahir pada musim lain. Selain itu komplikasi saat melahirkan, epidemik influenza, dan kelaparan ibu saat hamil juga ikut berperan dalam etiologi.

Untuk mendiagnosis seseorang dengan Skizoprenia tentunya harus berhati-hati dan tidak gegabah karena banyak faktor lain yang harus diekslusi agar tidak membingungkan diagnosis utama. Seseorang dengan diagnosis skizoprenia tentunya tidak sedang dipengaruhi oleh obat atau zat tertentu yang membuatnya berhalusinasi. Selain itu, dokter ahli jiwa juga harus mengekslusi faktor-faktor lain seperti gangguan kepribadian, mood, atau baru saja mengalami gangguan medis yang menyebabkan terganggunya sistem saraf pusat.

Gejala Skizoprenia dibagi dalam 4 kategori besar yakni :

1. Gejala Positif = gejala yang baru muncul atau onsetnya akut, seperti ; halusinasi suara, pemikiran asing yang masuk ke dalam dirinya, delusi (waham yang tidak wajar, biasanya bersifat mistik atau mukjizat), impulsif, perilaku katakonik (negativisme, mutisme, gelisah)
2. Gejala Negatif = gejala sebelumnya atau gejala yang mungkin sudah hilang, seperti ; kehilangan asosiasi saat berbicara, autisme, ambivalensi (perasaan campuran antara suka atau tidak)
3. Gejala Kognitif, seperti ; gangguang memusatkan perhatian, ingatan, fungsi eksekutif (tidak bisa bekerja, melakukan daily living things untuk dirinya)
4. Gejala lain, seperti susah bergaul, diam, introverted, pasif, dll

Untuk mendiagnosisnya sesuai dengan kriteria DSM IV atau ICD 10 yang menunjukan minimal 2 dari gejala di atas dan persisten selama 1 bulan atau lebih dapat dikatakan orang tersebut menderita Skizoprenia.

Nah, semoga saja tulisan ini bermanfaat dan menambah pengetahuan mengenai Skizoprenia. Jika ada kerabat dekat anda yang memiliki gejala tersebut, jangan ragu lagi segera membawanya ke dokter ahli kejiwaan. 

Manajemen pasien dengan skizoprenia tidak hanya menggunakan obat antipsikotik saja tetapi juga memerlukan terapi psikososial yang meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien nantinya.

Ya, orang dengan skizoprenia sangat membutuhkan penanganan yang cepat dan tepat. Dengan support keluarga, kerabat, dan tim medis tentunya pasien dengan skizoprenia akan memiliki prognosis yang baik.

Semoga, suatu hari, tidak lama lagi, tidak ada lagi berita seseorang yang “gila” dipasung oleh keluarganya. Semoga saja suatu hari masalah ekonomi bukanlah lagi hambatan untuk me-“rumah-sakitkan” penderita Skizoprenia.

Yesterday was awesome but today is much more awesome! Everything’s just going normally. I said so because Arsenal and Manchester City didn’t win the match last night. Yihaaa!

Okay back to the point. I wrote this because I want to share you about yesterday, A day of silence.

The first time you woke up was hearing the song’s of a bird. The weather was so bright and no pollution. There’s no other noise than a song’s of nature. Fantastic.

When you looked outside, there’s only animals around the road. No cars, people, motorcycles, just ordinary road.

At noon, the rainy was come and cool the weather. Fantastic yeah?

And the darkest came after sunset. I was blind yesterday. No light. No noise. Nothing. But I saw the most beautiful scenery that comes once a year. You can see the Milky Way last night, exclusively only in Bali.

The sky at night was the peak, the dessert that I’ve waited yesterday. It’s awesome. I can’t describe it by my self. You should come to Bali and see it by your self. This is only happened once a day, on Nyepi.

I always love the ambiance of Nyepi.

Overall, I did all of Catur Brata Penyepian like I posted 2 years ago. I didn’t eat, drink, travel, and no light.

The hardest part of doing Catur Brata Penyepian was doing nothing. Well, I couldn’t do it perfectly. Still. And the second was NO DRINKING for 24 hour, that’s truly hard!

But, I did it even I was not perfect at all. But, I did it.

One thing that I think about yesterday, beside a self reflection, was….

If God is good, why is people who believe in God and pray many times are the main suspicion as the source of this destruction? War, terrorism, murderer, hating and anything bad seems are bigger that God (from the religion) offer to get heaven than the peace and caring itself?

It’s still going on my country. Can we just respect unity in diversity? Is Peace just gonna be the word here?

Well, I think the answer is inside our self. Let’s try to find it.

I wish I recorded our move, me and Papa. Yeah, his dance is so weird and mine is not of course. Mine is awesome. The song that makes us move is coming from David Byrne, Home.

Yeah, this song is very good! It’s a soundtrack of Wall Street Money Never Sleeps movie. A very good one. It makes me and my Dad danced all the song played. He seems very happy. I asked him, “When the las time you danced, Papa” He said, ” I don’t know. Maybe when I’m still in Australia, in Pub around Sydney”

“It’s been a very long time, Papa. You should have some fun”

“Well, I had fun now” he smiles and look at me and still with his weird dance move.

I laughed, we laughed. Oh, God. I wish someday I will marry someone just like My Papa. He’s really a very good kind of man. I adore him so much.

Woww, it has been 1 year since the first time I’m tumbling. How much I love writing and tumbling. I still remember who introduce tumblr to me. Yeah, her named is Saras. Now, she lives in Australia and very independent. Good for her :)

Well, tomorrow I will celebrate Hindu’s 1933 New Year called Nyepi. It’s a very unique and eco friendly celebration. Why I said so? Yeah, because we need to Tapa Beratha that means we need to do rituals like this :

1. Amati Geni : No Fire or light include No electricity

2. Amati Karya : No working

3. Amati Lelunganan : No travelling

4. Amati Lelanguan : Fasting and no revelry

It’s kinda hard to do. I’ve been trying for at least since I was a kid. But still, I can’t do all the rituals. But, 2 years ago I did it. I did it all, for the first time! But i think i was not perfect that time. Because I still use handphone to reply messages *hahahaaa*

But yeah, the celebration will taste perfectly when you’re in God and Goddess’s Island of the world, Bali. Only in here, the Airport and Harbor that connect to this island is closed for just one day. There’s no light and you can’t go outside except for emergency cases. All you need to do is sit in silence and self-reflection.

Yeah the other name of this celebration is “A Silence’s Day”.And this celebration is one celebration that you have to take a part before you die, only in Bali. You will feel the differences than others, surely.

The NGOs in Bali are also keep introduce this celebration to the world include my father. My father is a great man who really concerned about environment development. And he tried so hard to let people know about this Silence’s Day.

Yeah, he did it well. not only him, others also did it. From that point and after a long time conversation and discussions, there a “Earth Hour” that celebrate in other country.

I wish someday that all over the world celebrate this Silence’s Day. Yeah, Nyepi is so truly inspiring the world. Especially as one of actions that support to heal the world. Yeah, I wish it so bad but I’m not only wishing. But i did actions for this, yeah i wrote it. So do you, guys. take some actions to help our lovely world!

Well, at least you turn off your light when you don’t really need it or at night when you get to sleep. It really helpful to save more energy.

Even though I had been 21 years celebrating Nyepi, but still I feel so excited for tomorrow. And of course I will try to do Tapa Beratha Penyepian again. Wish me guys.

The game of life is a lot like football. You have to tackle your problems, block your fears, and score your points when you get the opportunity

I started this day watching the big match of England Premiere League, Chelsea vs Manchester United. I don’t have any idea why I can wake up this early, 4AM, just for watching 22 man seize the ball to win. But, i did.

The first round is mine. Yeah, Manchester United leads the match! Thanks to Rooney who make the first fortunate goal. But, the match is still going until the second round. I still remember the quick feet things between Nani and Ivanovic in Chelsea’s corner. I bet we deserve a free kick there. But the referee choose to give a goal kick for Chelsea.

Finally, the blues equate the match from a strong kick of David Luiz. Great. The match keeps burning up and both of them get a bunch of chances. And then the Referee, Atkinson, changes everything. He isn’t firm. Yeah, I said this because I am a fan of Manchester United but just try to ask the neutral one. You must heard the same. It’s too easy to give a penalty. I don’t get angry with Smailing because he’s just doing good. And of course, Lampard ended it well.

The Captain, Nemanja Vidic got too emotional and pull Ramirez down. Oh yeah, of course he got expelled from that no-fair-at-all’s referee because the accumulation of yellow cards.

Manchester United defeated. And they really don’t deserve it! But, that’s just a game. And sometimes, it doesn’t go just like your plan.

The game was just too critical for me and ruined my mood for hours. Sometimes, you feel like you have to win something, some part of your life. But you don’t. What should you do?

Moving on of course. Yeah, past was just past and never coming back. Beside that, you still have another BIG CHANCES. Just same like a football game.

Another football’s game I’ve watched today is Asian Football Confederation’s Cup. How my country’s team ; Arema and Persipura give their best. But still, life is not always go on our way.

Well, not too bad. Because, 3 of them already did their best. And for God’s sake they really played so great. Maybe it’s about luck and condition. I knew that they really work so hard for this game.

So do I. Even though I’m not a football player but i do i really love football. And they really inspired me today. Thanks! Glory Glory Man United! Glory Glory ME!

When holiday is come, all you want to do is not doing your regular schedule. For me as a student, my regular schedule are going to college, lecture, discussion, pleno, going home, take a nap, re-learning the lecture, etc except weekend. Sometimes, i just get bored. Very humanity.

You could going abroad, take a rest as much as you can do, culinary travel, and… making money! I did all things above.

On January, my very short holiday, I spend my leisure time to explore and sightseeing abroad, in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. It’s a very great journey actually.

On February, I spend my holiday at my hometown, Bali. I love culinary travel for sure. Especially when you’re going to Bali, all you need to do is culinary travel. Because this island is a heaven for yummy foods!

I’m also having fun with my DVDs. Yeah, when you’re on your regular tight schedule, you won’t have much time to enjoy the movies. I bought a bunch of DVDs and enjoy it. Two big movies that won Oscars for Best Picture, The King’s Speech, you have to watch it. A totally must see. Another one Black Swan. That’s movie is bring Natalie Portman as a lead actress to win Best Actress Nominee on Oscar. Great!

Well, when holiday is coming, actually i did exercise. Yeah, I did. Ehmm, but not as much as my regular schedule. It’s wrong actually. The right one is Your input must be balanced with your output. Oke remember? Viva healthy living ;)

Another great moment is enjoying the event like I did yesterday on Indonesia - Japan Fair 2011. Beside that, I also attended my college birthday party. There’s a lot of stand and also multicultural performances. And later, i plan to attend my hometown Denpasar’s birthday event on Puputan.

On my holiday, I start to make some money. It’s fun actually when your items is get attention from other one and they want to buy it.

Yeah, I really enjoy to introduce my friends about GARIS. It’s a sketch and caricature of your picture and will make your dreams come true. Yeah, we draw all your dreams. And I have a goal to make GARIS as a trending gift among people. Yeah this one is really an extra-ordinary gift.

One thing that I really love to do is writing! Because of writing I can be one of Bayer Environmental Envoy and did some presentation in Jakarta. Because of writing I also being a part of KompasMuda family. It’s not my line actually but i make it branched off. Hahahaaa. I also write a poetry and journal about my life and my science writings also. One of my friends love my poetry that I wrote in tumblr and make it as lyric of his own made song. Fantastic eh? yeah maybe, if he doesn’t mind, I will upload it here later.
